Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine sets minimum admission score at 16

The minimum score for optometry, public health, and nutrition is 16, the lowest at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.

The remaining programs require a minimum score of 17. The highest minimum scores are for medicine and odontology, both at 21, according to the university's announcement on the afternoon of 23/7. This is the total score of three high school graduation exam subjects in the respective combinations, including any bonus points.

Compared to last year, all minimum scores have decreased by 2-3 points. Pharmacy saw the largest decrease, from 23 to 20.

Tuition fees for medicine programs at 33 universities

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will admit over 1,900 students this year, an increase of over 300 compared to last year, through two methods: direct admission and high school graduation exam scores. In the event of multiple candidates with the same admission score, the tie-breaker will be the order of program preference, followed by the math score on the high school graduation exam.

Besides the traditional combinations of B00 (math, chemistry, biology), B03 (math, literature, biology), and A00 (math, physics, chemistry), candidates can also use two combinations including English: A01 (math, physics, English) and B08 (math, biology, English).

Tuition fees for the 2025 academic year at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine are expected to be 42.8-55.2 million VND per year.

Currently, candidates can register, adjust, and supplement their university application choices an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on 28/7. Afterward, they can pay the application fee online from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8.

University benchmark scores will be announced before 5 PM on 22/8.
