Suggested answers for the 2026 national high school graduation English exam

The 2026 national high school graduation English exam, taken by over 340,000 candidates, consisted of 40 multiple-choice questions and took place on the morning of 12/6.

The English exam was one of nine optional subjects on the final day of this year's national high school graduation exams. Over 347,000 candidates registered for the foreign language subject, primarily English. They completed the 40 multiple-choice questions in 50 minutes.

The 2026 national high school graduation English exam paper was identified by code 48.

Last year, the English subject's score distribution for over 353,000 candidates followed a standard bell curve. The average score was 5,38, a decrease of 0,13 points compared to 2024. Only 141 candidates nationwide achieved a perfect score of 10.

The Ministry of Education and Training will announce the 2026 national high school graduation exam scores on the morning of 1/7. Students can then begin registering and adjusting their university admission preferences from 2-14/7.

According to this year's admission regulations, candidates must achieve a minimum of 15 graduation exam points from a combination of three subjects, regardless of the university admission method.
