This morning, approximately 1.2 million candidates completed the national high school graduation examination (THPT) for elective subjects. History proved to be the most popular choice, with nearly 571,000 candidates registered.

Last year, the history exam scores for approximately 487,000 candidates showed a distribution skewed towards higher marks. The average score was 6,52. Over 1,500 candidates achieved a perfect score of 10, which was a decrease of about 600 from 2024. More than 89,660 candidates, representing 18,6% of the total, scored below average.
The results for the 2026 national high school graduation examination are scheduled for release on 1/7. Students will then have the period from 2-14/7 to register and adjust their university admission preferences. This year's admission regulations stipulate that candidates must achieve a minimum of 15 points from their three-subject combination in the graduation exam, irrespective of the university admission method used.
