The 2026 national high school graduation exam took place on 11-12/6, involving over 1,22 million candidates, a record high. Yesterday, candidates completed the two compulsory subjects: literature and mathematics.
Geography is one of nine optional subjects, alongside foreign languages, physics, chemistry, informatics, biology, history, economic and legal education, and technology. The geography exam was held on the morning of 12/6. History was the most popular, chosen by over 570,000 candidates, while geography ranked second with 450,000 participants.
Last year, over 476,000 candidates nationwide took the geography exam, achieving an average score of 6,63. Among them, over 6,900 candidates achieved perfect scores, double the number from 2024.
Candidates will receive their graduation exam results on 1/7. Following this, they will have 5 days to request a score review. University admissions registration and preference adjustments will take place from 2/7 until 17h on 14/7. University admission outcomes will be announced after 17h on 9/8.
