Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy lowers admission floor

Six programs at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy have set their admission floor at 17-20.5, based on the total score of three high school graduation exam subjects. This is a decrease of 2 points compared to last year.

Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced on July 24th that this minimum score includes priority points but not bonus points. It represents the minimum requirement for applicants.

Medicine has the highest floor. Pharmacy and Traditional Medicine share the second-highest floor at 19. The remaining three programs, Preventive Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology, all have a floor of 17.

Last year, the university's admission floor ranged from 19-22.5. Compared to this year, all six programs have decreased by 2 points.

All programs consider multiple subject combinations, all of which include Math. The university stated there's no difference in admission scores between the groups.

In 2025, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy will admit 1,430 students through three methods: high school graduation exam results, direct admission, and pre-university students (a training program for ethnic minorities before transferring to university).

On July 15th, the university announced the results for the latter two methods. Eighteen students gained direct admission to Medicine, all having achieved third prize in the national excellent student competition in Chemistry or Biology.

Thirty pre-university students from various ethnic groups, including Tay, Nung, Thai, Dao, Mong, Muong, Tho, Jrai, were admitted. These students achieved good or excellent academic performance in 12th grade, with 2024 graduation exam scores ranging from 19 to 22.5, depending on the program.

The expected annual tuition fee at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy is 55.5 million VND for Medicine, Traditional Medicine, and Pharmacy. Preventive Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology share a tuition fee of 42 million VND.

Last year's benchmark scores for the university, based on high school graduation exam results, ranged from 19.15 to 26.17, with Medicine having the highest.

Applicants can register, adjust, and supplement their university application choices until 5 PM on July 28th, with no limit on the number of changes. The online application fee payment period is from July 29th to 5 PM on August 5th.
