The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School's sixth-grade entrance exam scores a day earlier than expected.

More than 4,800 gifted students took the entrance exam for the sixth grade at Tran Dai Nghia School on 16/6. The 90-minute exam consisted of two sections: essay and multiple-choice.

The multiple-choice section included 20 English questions, testing knowledge of natural sciences, social sciences, and general knowledge. The essay section covered English (listening, reading comprehension, and writing), logical thinking math, and reading comprehension and writing.

Tran Dai Nghia sixth-grade entrance exam questions and answers

Students who don't pass the entrance exam will still be considered for sixth grade at public schools based on their place of residence.

Established in 5/2024, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School separated from the specialized high school of the same name. This year, more than 4,800 students competed for 350 sixth-grade spots, with an average of 14 applicants for every place. This is the highest competition rate since 2015 (excluding 2021, when the exam was not held). In previous years, with 525 available spots, the competition rate was typically around one in seven or eight.
