University of Information Technology adjusts admission floor

The University of Information Technology (UIT) sets its admission floor at 22 for all programs, a decrease of 0.5 to 2 points compared to earlier projections.

On the evening of 23/7, the University of Information Technology, a member of Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), announced adjustments to its admission floor scores compared to the announcement in June.

The university has set a minimum score of 22 for all programs. This is the total score of three subjects in the chosen combination, excluding bonus points and priority points. For the Integrated Circuit Design program, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 6.5 in math.

For admission based on the VNU-HCM’s Competency Assessment Test, the university will accept applications with scores of 700/1200 or higher, 20 points higher than the previous requirement. For the Integrated Circuit Design program, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 195/300 in the math component.

Group four includes candidates who have achieved high prizes in competitions such as the Informatics Olympiad, Road to Olympia Peak, ICPC, SEA Games, ASIAD, or hold international certificates (SAT, ACT, A-Level, IB).

Tuition fees at the University of Information Technology for the 2025 intake are 37 million and 55 million VND per year for standard and advanced programs respectively, an increase of two to five million VND compared to last year. For programs affiliated with international universities, the tuition fees range from 84 million to 140 million VND per year.

Last year, the admission scores for the University of Information Technology ranged from 25.55 to 28.3 based on the high school graduation exam results. The Artificial Intelligence program had the highest entry requirement.
