The University of Transport and Communications (UTC) announced its admission floor scores on July 23rd. For applicants using high school graduation exam scores, the admission score is calculated on a 30-point scale using the following formula:
Total admission score = (Main subject x 2 + 2 other subjects) x 3/4 + Priority points.
Six programs offered in Hanoi have the highest floor score of 20: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and Control Engineering and Automation (specializing in Automation, Traffic Control Engineering, and Automation).
The remaining programs have floor scores ranging from 15 to 19. The 15-point floor applies only to some programs offered in Ho Chi Minh City.
UTC will admit 6,340 students to its main campus in Hanoi and 1,800 to its Ho Chi Minh City campus this year. Four admission methods are used: high school graduation exam scores and awards for national and international competitions; high school transcripts; National University of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment test scores; and Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test scores.
Applicants can register and adjust their choices an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on July 28th, based on the floor scores and the score conversion table published by the university.
Prospective students can visit VnExpress's university search page for admissions information such as subject combinations, tuition fees, and changes in admission scores over the years for each program and university. The system also suggests programs and universities with admission scores close to the student's scores for each subject combination from last year.
Applicants can pay the application fee online from July 29th to 5 PM on August 5th. Universities will announce their admission scores before 5 PM on August 22nd.
