University tuition is currently based on Government Decrees 81 (2021) and 97 (2023). For the 2025-2026 academic year, the tuition ceiling (maximum chargeable fee) at public universities not yet self-sufficient is 1.5-3.1 million VND per month, depending on the field of study.
Autonomous universities can charge up to 2.5 times the ceiling. For accredited programs, universities set their own tuition fees.
