According to Associate Professor Nguyen Hai Dang, Vice President of USTH, the training programs are designed based on the actual needs of the domestic and international labor markets, while taking advantage of the training and research strengths of French universities. The current tuition fees are determined by balancing the maintenance of international-standard training quality with direct support from the Vietnamese and French Governments to reduce the financial burden on learners.
Based on the Vietnam-France Intergovernmental Agreement, USTH is the only public university in Vietnam supported by more than 30 French universities and research institutes. At USTH, training programs are jointly developed with French partners, from curriculum design and faculty exchange to academic resources, internships, and research collaborations.

USTH teaches in English following the Bologna Process, a model implemented in many French and European universities. The university is a member of France Universites and accredited by the French High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES). As a result, USTH's degrees and credits are internationally recognized, facilitating academic exchange, further studies, and employment opportunities.
For double degree programs at the undergraduate level, students study two years in Vietnam and one year in France. At the master's level, 50% of the lecturers are from France, and over 50% of students have the opportunity to do a 5-6 month paid internship abroad, with all interns in France receiving a salary. For joint doctoral programs with French partners, PhD students conduct research in both Vietnam and France and receive salaries according to the regulations of both sides.

To date, USTH students have had internship opportunities at over 200 universities, research institutes, laboratories, and businesses in more than 20 countries such as France, Germany, Switzerland, the US, Canada, Japan, and South Korea. The university also facilitates students' participation in academic exchange programs in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Canada, South Korea, and Taiwan (China).
According to Associate Professor Nguyen Hai Dang, USTH's annual tuition fees cover all on-campus study expenses, from teaching materials to laboratory practice. When participating in exchange programs at French and international partner institutions, students only pay tuition fees at USTH's rate and do not incur additional fees at the host institution.
Furthermore, the university offers scholarships to students with excellent academic achievements or difficult circumstances, covering up to 100% of tuition fees. Additionally, during internships and academic exchanges, students have the opportunity to receive scholarships from USTH and its partners.

In addition, USTH is one of the few universities in Vietnam focusing solely on science and technology, key areas in the context of green transition, digital transformation, and strategic industrial development. USTH has built a system of laboratories, workshops, and smart classrooms with an investment of over 30 million USD. Students practice on equipment and machinery similar to those used in businesses, a significant advantage for quick adaptation to the labor market.
With an international learning environment, nearly 20% of USTH graduates continue their master's and doctoral studies abroad, many receiving valuable and prestigious scholarships such as Erasmus Mundus (European Union), Excellence scholarships from the French Embassy, CIFRE engineering scholarships, and Eiffel scholarships from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
