Nguyen Minh Tung, head of the VAA's Admissions and Student Affairs Department, reported on 17/8 that nearly 21,400 prospective students have applied to the academy, totaling over 37,700 applications.
The most popular programs include aviation business, marketing, aviation engineering, flight operations management, airport management and operations, logistics, and aviation economics.
Consequently, Tung predicts that the admission scores for many programs could increase by 4-6 points. The lowest possible admission score this year is estimated at 19, a 3-point increase from last year, while the highest could reach 27.
"This is a preliminary prediction based on application data, and there's still a degree of uncertainty," Tung said.
The official VAA admission scores will be announced on the evening of 20/8, after six rounds of simulated admissions. The academy's initial minimum score requirement based on the high school graduation exam results is generally 15-16/30. However, flight operations management and aviation engineering programs require a minimum score of 20.
