VNU-HCM previously released conversion tables for A01 (math, physics, English), B00 (math, chemistry, biology), C01 (math, literature, physics), and D01 (math, literature, English) combinations because most students taking the Competency Assessment Exam also have high school graduation exam scores in these combinations.
However, Saigon University temporarily suspended admissions using Competency Assessment Exam scores for 5 majors because the percentile table lacked A00 (math, physics, chemistry) and C00 (literature, history, geography) combinations. With VNU-HCM's new announcement, Saigon University will reinstate these admissions criteria.

Approximately 152,800 students took the 2025 VNU-HCM Competency Assessment Exam, totaling over 223,000 test instances. The average score for both rounds was 662.78. The highest score achieved was 1,122 out of 1,200, while the lowest was 120.
This is the largest independent university entrance exam in the country, with results used by over 110 universities for admissions.
