The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has announced that admission scores based on high school transcripts will be 2.6-3.5 points higher than scores from the 2025 national high school graduation exam.

Sai Gon University (SGU) unexpectedly announced it will not use the competency assessment scores from Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) for 4 majors.

Most undergraduate programs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) have a minimum admission score of 15, which is the sum of three high school graduation exam subjects plus any bonus points.

Open University Ho Chi Minh City (OU) has set two minimum admission scores, 15 and 16, with some programs dropping by as many as 6 points compared to last year.

The National Economics University has set its admission floor for the high school graduation exam at 22 for all four xet tuyen (university entrance exam) combinations, a 2-point increase from last year and from the plan proposed earlier this year.
