Loewe's fall-winter 2025 collection marks a significant transition, representing creative director Jonathan Anderson's final contribution before departing the Spanish fashion house. Inspired by the legacy of artists Josef and Anni Albers, Anderson collaborated with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation to transform garments into living artworks. This new collection emphasizes art and craft, two core elements of his creative journey.

The designs evoke Josef Albers's renowned series of square paintings, "Homage to the Square." For over 25 years, Albers meticulously crafted three to four nested squares, subtly shifting hues to explore the interplay of color and form. This distinctive style solidified his place in modern art history. The collection also draws inspiration from the creative spirit of Anni Albers, a master textile artist and Josef's wife. She viewed threads not just as materials but as a language for storytelling and inspiration, imbuing each piece with artistic expression.

More than just a collection, Loewe fall-winter 2025 is a meaningful art project concluding a decade of success for both Jonathan Anderson and the Spanish fashion house. To complete this creative journey, Loewe is partnering with Les Foyers de Tambacounda, a women's community center in Senegal founded by the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation and the non-profit organization Le Korsa. The brand's contribution will support three initiatives: developing the local sewing collective Sutura, sustaining the art program at the Foyer with instructors from the Dakar School of Fine Arts, and implementing a tire recycling project to protect the environment.
