In late July, a video showcasing Thien Lam's painting activities gained attention on social media. The young girl positions two easels in front of her, using both hands concurrently, each hand working on a separate section of the painting before combining them into a complete artwork. In addition to landscapes, Thien Lam has also painted portraits of several famous people, including singer Quang Hung MasterD, Hieu Thu Hai, and football player Xuan Son.

Hang Van, Thien Lam’s mother, said her daughter has enjoyed drawing since she was young, starting with simple pictures of flowers, leaves, houses, and clouds. In first grade, she began painting portraits. Now, Thien Lam practices painting with both hands for one or two hours each day, focusing on keeping her hands steady to prevent distorting the lines. According to the young artist, the most challenging aspect of this skill is coordinating both hands and eyes simultaneously.

At their home in Long Bien, Hanoi, the family has dedicated a room for Thien Lam to pursue her passion for painting and display her acrylic and oil paintings. Besides school, she dedicates one or two hours daily to painting, utilizing weekends and holidays to further her craft.

Tan Hoang, Thien Lam’s father, supports his daughter's practice, collaborating with his wife to find skilled teachers to enhance her knowledge and skills. They encourage their daughter to be serious and dedicated to achieve long-term success. A former student at Bach Khoa University with no formal art training, Hoang actively researches the field to assist his daughter. In TikTok videos, Hoang often sits beside his daughter, attentively observing her brushstrokes.

Among her paintings, the color portrait she created for TikToker Vo Ha Linh took the longest to complete. Due to the oil paint, she had to wait for each layer to dry before continuing. The painting also contained intricate details, requiring delicate handling. It took her several months to finish.

Thien Lam is particularly proud of her peach blossom painting on the sea, completed in 30 minutes while filming for a YouTube channel. Sitting in a crowded park with constant traffic, she had to maintain intense focus to meet her father's time limit. In the video's comments section, many praised her talent and encouraged her to pursue her dreams.

In the future, Thien Lam plans to continue painting while prioritizing her studies. She aspires to be a painter, continuing to portray famous figures and scenic landscapes. She also dreams of becoming an MC, inspired by her interactions with people in the profession.
