Miss Giang My, a disciple of Sangay Dorji Rinpoche, part of Bhutan's Buddhist monastic community, had the opportunity to meet Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck during the queen's visit to Vietnam. The meeting was facilitated by Rinpoche.

"She is a graceful, beautiful, and intelligent woman," Giang My said. "Meeting her in person, I found her even more radiant than in the media, exuding warmth and simplicity. The Queen of Bhutan possesses a humble and refined demeanor."

During their 30-minute conversation, Giang My and the queen discussed culture, art, and matters related to human energy. "She strongly believes in the inner energy that helps each person resolve matters positively," Giang My shared. "The queen also enjoys collecting traditional art pieces with historical significance, such as paintings, ceramics, and handmade crafts."

Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck gifted Giang My handcrafted incense from Bhutan. In return, Giang My presented the queen with a traditional Vietnamese silk Ao Dai.

The King and Queen of Bhutan made a state visit to Vietnam from 18/8-22/8 at the invitation of President Luong Cuong and his wife.

Vietnam and Bhutan maintain strong, friendly relations, with frequent communication between high-ranking officials. Both countries have potential for tourism, particularly Buddhist and spiritual tourism. There's a growing interest among Vietnamese tourists in Bhutan, known as the "Land of Happiness," for its pristine natural beauty and meditation experiences. The two nations are also exploring cooperation in areas such as religion (especially Buddhism), education, and workforce exchange.

Giang My, originally from Hanoi, won the Miss Hung Temple pageant in 1989. She remains the only titleholder of this pageant. Giang My subsequently received numerous film offers, starring in projects like *Nguoi Dep Dem Trang* (*Beauty in the Moonlight*), *Hoa Hau Mo Coi* (*Orphaned Beauty Queen*), *Yeu Nang Hoa Hau* (*Loving the Beauty Queen*), and *Sai Gon Trong Trai Tim Em* (*Saigon in My Heart*). Currently, in addition to her business ventures, she attends fashion events and serves as a judge for beauty contests.
