15 gen Z faces at Vietnam's Next Top Model

Tra My, Lai Mai Hoa, Ai Bang, and Pham An promise to bring a fresh perspective to Vietnam's Next Top Model 2025 with their youthful energy.

Tam Thanh (Zicky Lee), 26, from Lao Cai, stands at 1.68 m tall. She was the winner of TikTok FashUP 2022 in the modeling icon category. Tam Thanh has over half a million followers on social media.

Following the casting round, the judges selected the top 15 contestants to enter the shared house and participate in filmed challenges. The contestants were introduced to the public at a press conference on 28/7.

Lai Mai Hoa, 20, gained attention by winning the Top Model Online round to secure her place in the competition. She impressed with her height of 1.84 m and distinctly East Asian features.

This year, the competition isn't focused on training contestants from scratch. Instead, it aims to discover a star ready to shine on both domestic and international runways. As a result, all selected contestants have prior runway experience. Judge Thanh Hang expressed her hope of finding the next generation of top models through this platform.

Ai Bang, 20, stands at 1.78 m tall and is from Lam Dong. She's been praised as a "runway warrior" thanks to her sharp demeanor and solid skills.

Tra My, 19, from Hanoi, is the youngest contestant. She is known to the public as a model with the nickname "Nang Mo". On TikTok, her fashion videos have attracted millions of views.

Despite being a newcomer to the fashion world, Tra My has earned the trust of many designers. She showcased several collections at Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025 in June.

Giang Phung, 20, is 1.76 m tall. The Hanoi native has stage experience, having been involved in fashion since her school days.

Tuyet Mai, 26, from Ho Chi Minh City, is 1.78 m tall. She is a professional Taekwondo athlete. Entering the competition, Tuyet Mai says she brings the same competitive spirit as in sports, aiming for the top spot.

Vu My Ngan, 26, hails from Quang Ninh. She has participated in several beauty contests, winning the title of Miss Ao Dai and placing in the top 15 at Miss National Vietnam 2024. Standing at 1.82 m tall, she has appeared in shows by designers such as Le Thanh Hoa and Adrian Anh Tuan.

Uyen Do stands out with her curly hair. The 28-year-old, 1.71 m tall contestant from Da Nang, has years of experience in the lookbook industry. She joined the competition to demonstrate her overall development.

Hang Ngo, 21, from Quang Tri, is 1.75 m tall. The judges noted her sharp features and strong eye contact and posing skills in front of the camera.

Pham Hoai An, 21, from Ho Chi Minh City, stands at 1.7 m tall. The contestant brings a unique style with short hair and angular features.

The contestants will participate in challenges to determine the winner, who will receive a 300 million VND prize. The winner will also have the opportunity to walk at international fashion weeks in the UK, France, and Italy, and appear on the cover of a prestigious fashion magazine.

The judging panel for the ninth season includes model Thanh Hang, designer Do Manh Cuong, makeup artist Nam Trung, and creative director Ha Do.

Vietnam's Next Top Model is adapted from the American show Next Top Model, founded by supermodel Tyra Banks, which first aired in 2010. Over eight seasons, the program has discovered many famous faces in the fashion industry such as Trang Khieu, Tuyet Lan, Hoang Thuy, Ngoc Chau, Mau Thuy, H'Hen Nie, Huong Ly, Nguyen Hop, Nguyen Oanh, and Kim Dung. After the "all-star" season (featuring notable contestants from previous years) in 2017, the program took a break and has recently been revived.
