According to Page Six on 11/8/2025, the property Jolie is preparing to sell is located in the Los Feliz neighborhood and once belonged to legendary director Cecil B. DeMille (1881-1959). She purchased the estate in 2017 for 24.5 million USD.
Built in 1913, the mansion boasts six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, with an interior spanning over 1,000 square meters. Jolie reportedly resided here with her children during the Covid-19 lockdown and offered shelter to friends following a wildfire earlier that year.

A source told People that Jolie "never wanted to live in Los Angeles full-time" and "had no other choice because of the custody agreement with Brad Pitt." The couple share six children: three adopted and three biological. Following Jolie's divorce filing in 2016, the children have lived with their mother. In a 2021 British Vogue interview, the actress explained she purchased the property in the area for its proximity to "the children's father," a mere five-minute walk away.
Jolie plans to move after her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 in 2026. "Jolie is eyeing several locations abroad. She will be very happy to be able to leave Los Angeles," the source told People.
In a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jolie stated she would spend more time in Cambodia, the birthplace of her eldest son, Maddox, 24. "I will visit my family members, wherever they are in the world," she added. At the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in February, the actress expressed that Cambodia is the "only place in my heart" that she considers home.

Born in 1975 into a show business family, Jolie made her screen debut alongside her father, Jon Voight, in the film Lookin' to Get Out (1982) and began her acting career in earnest in 1993 with Cyborg 2. The actress has won three Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award. Before Brad Pitt, she was married twice, to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
Jolie and Pitt first met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) while Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston. Following the film, Jolie and Pitt publicly announced their relationship and married in 2014. They raised their children together before separating in 2016. In late 2024, they finalized their divorce but have yet to resolve a dispute over their French estate. In recent years, most of Pitt's children have sided against him, publicly or indirectly rejecting their father. Currently, only their youngest son, Knox, 17, has not expressed a position on his parents' conflict.
