The concert took place at 8 p.m. at the August Revolution Square, featuring many artists such as Xuan Hinh, Tan Minh, Dang Duong, Hoang Hai, and Lam Bao Ngoc.
From 6 p.m., people brought national flags and lined up around the stage area. The organizers distributed around 4,000 tickets, while the remaining audience stood outside the barricades, filling the August Revolution Square and the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street.

The program began with a mapping projection of historical images such as Nha Rong Wharf, Tan Trao banyan tree, and Pac Bo Cave.
After a speech by Tran Si Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee (HPC), the organizers set off fireworks for about three minutes, exciting the audience.

On the stage erected in front of the Hanoi Opera House, hundreds of dancers performed, illustrating the "Ho Chi Minh Song." The work by Ewan MacColl, with Vietnamese lyrics by Phu An, was arranged for a symphony orchestra, exuding a majestic resonance.
The choir and artists recreated the fervent atmosphere of the August Revolution through songs like "Destroy Fascism" (composer Nguyen Dinh Thi), "Guerrilla Song" (composer Do Nhuan), "Call of Youth" (composer Luu Huu Phuoc), and "Together We Go, Red Soldiers" (composer Dinh Nhu).

With the song "August 19th" (composer Xuan Oanh), the artists brought hundreds of flags onto the stage, recreating the scene of "flags flying everywhere with thousands of gold stars" when the revolution succeeded.
At the end of the performance, the organizers replayed the recording of Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence: "Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence, and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, lives and property to maintain this freedom and independence." At the same time, the national anthem played. Without prompting, thousands of spectators stood up and sang along.

In the second part, titled "Ba Dinh Sunshine - The Eternal Voice," singers Dong Hung and Khanh Linh sang in praise of the beauty, indomitable spirit, and resilience of the capital's people through the song "Hanoi People" (composer Nguyen Dinh Thi).

The Dien Bien Phu Campaign, "famous throughout the five continents, shaking the earth," was recalled through the songs "Long March" and "On Him Lam Hill" (composer Do Nhuan), sung by Hoang Hai. The dancers recreated the image of the legendary bicycle troop, each carrying hundreds of kilograms of food and weapons for the campaign.

Singer Dang Duong and the Oplus group evoked memories of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and the spirit of young soldiers through the mashup "Uncle Ho is Marching with Us" (composer Huy Thuc) and "Truong Son Song" (composer Tran Chung).

The program took the audience through many emotions, corresponding to the stages of Hanoi's history, from heroic and tragic during wartime to youthful and modern in peacetime.

Artist Xuan Hinh was cheered by many young spectators when he appeared in the "Hanoi Xam" performance with artists Hoang Anh Tu and Thai Phuong. When he recited "I've traveled all over the world/No one is as polite as the people of Trang An" and took out his instrument to play, the audience continuously cheered and applauded.

At the end of the concert, singer Van Mai Huong sang the new composition "Hanoi Light Up the City" by composer Duong Cam. After the performance, the organizers set off low-level fireworks.

"Hanoi - From the Historic Autumn of 1945" was organized by the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, HPC, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi. The event was directed by People's Artist Tan Minh, with composer Duong Cam as music director, conductor Dong Quang Vinh leading the orchestra, and Master Tuyet Minh writing the script and serving as general director.
Ha Thu - Giang Huy
