The artist's funeral was held at her private home in Tan Thuan ward, TP HCM from 5-9/7. Following the services, she was buried in her hometown of Phu Tan ward, Vinh Long (formerly Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre).
Many colleagues and students, including artist Viet Anh, singer Vo Ha Tram, and actress Kha Ly, extended condolences to the family. Director Thanh Hiep, Head of the Criticism and Theory Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Stage Artists' Association, who had met and seen artist Bach Van perform on many occasions, praised her authentic performances. He noted she was once a highly anticipated talent of the Kim Cuong theater troupe.
"She performed well in any role, acting gracefully, transforming characters, and conveying deep inner emotions. Therefore, even though she primarily played supporting roles, she still made an impression. My favorite was Bach Van's role as a girl caught in a storm, rescued by youth volunteers in the play 'Sea Storm'," the director said.

Born in 1962, Bach Van was an actress at Stage Art School 2, now known as Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema. In 1979-1980, she joined the Kim Cuong drama troupe, one of the most famous theater brands at the time, founded by People's Artist Kim Cuong. She often played supporting roles in plays such as: "The Abyss of Height", "Sea Storm", "Late Lover", "Mother's Legend", and "She Is My Child". During this period, she was contemporaries with actresses Bich Lan, Phuong Dung, Minh Hanh, and Thuy Chinh.
The couple met during their student days while living in the same dormitory. Ta Minh Tam once shared that he feared he wouldn't be able to marry Bach Van because she was beautiful, talented, and had many admirers. In his memory, when they first married, they often rode bicycles together, with him singing and her performing plays. Due to difficult circumstances, Bach Van chose to step back and support her husband, caring for their children. They have two daughters, one of whom, Ta Minh Anh, born in 1997, inherited a passion for music and studied piano at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.
"She loved me very much, and conversely, I was fortunate to have a wife like her. We met when we were young, and our relationship wasn't born out of youthful impulsiveness. That's what's precious," he once said.
Artist Ta Minh Tam was born in 1960 in An Giang. He is a renowned singer of chamber music, receiving the title of People's Artist in 2019. He served as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music for the 2014-2020 term. Besides singing, he works as an MC, a judge for many music competitions, and has acted in films such as "White Blouse" (2002), "Journalism" (2006), and "Pregnant Super Prankster" (2019).
