Artists don modernized ao dai on Mai Vang red carpet

The cast of "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai", singer Trang Phap, and actress Lam Vy Da gathered at the Mai Vang Awards ceremony on the evening of 29/1.

The Mai Vang Awards, an annual accolade organized by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper since 1995, honor artists who have made positive contributions to domestic cultural and artistic activities. The awards cover various fields such as film, music, television, and theater.

On the evening of 29/1, prominent artists, many donning modernized ao dai, converged at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House for the prestigious Mai Vang Awards ceremony. The event celebrated significant achievements across various artistic disciplines, recognizing impactful contributions to Vietnam's cultural landscape.

Singer Trang Phap chose a pastel pink outfit adorned with 3D floral patterns for the red carpet at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House. She won Song of the Year for "Mai la nguoi Viet Nam".

Actress Lam Vy Da paired an ao dai with hand-embroidered patterns and a hair pin. Upon receiving the Stage Actress award for the play "Mot cuoc chien khac", she thanked producer Hong Van and expressed gratitude to theater-loving audiences.

Actress Oc Thanh Van returned to Vietnam after a period of residence in Australia. She continues to perform theater at Hong Van stage and hosts several programs.

Lien Binh Phat, third from right, joined the stars of "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai" in wearing monochromatic ao dai. He secured the gold cup for Film - Television Actor for his lead role in the film "Quan Ky Nam". In the film, the actor portrayed Khang, a translator working on a Vietnamese version of Antoine de Saint-Exupery's book "Hoang tu be" (The Little Prince). His character met Ky Nam, an older woman, and a bond gradually formed between them.

Actress Bang Di won in the Television - Film Actress category. Last year, she made her mark with the role of Thuong in the film "Cuc vang cua ngoai", directed by Khuong Ngoc. Her character made a mistake in love, leading to pregnancy before marriage. Due to postpartum depression, she lacked connection with her child, entrusting the baby's upbringing to her mother.

Duy Khanh won Comedian of the Year for the program "Gia dinh Haha".

Director Dang Thai Huyen and the cast of "Mua do" won Film of the Year. The work revolves around the battle to protect the ancient citadel of Quang Tri, setting a revenue record with 700 billion dong.

Singers Soobin Hoang Son and Hoa Minzy shared their joy on stage after winning the two most important categories: Male and Female Singer of the Year.
