According to an excerpt published in the Daily Mail, 65-year-old Prince Andrew has had a strained relationship with his nephews, William and Harry, for years. He and Harry had a heated argument during a family gathering in 2013. At its peak, "punches were thrown", and Andrew suffered a nosebleed. He also questioned Harry's relationship with Meghan, calling her an "opportunist" and suggesting their marriage wouldn't last.

The book also reveals that Prince William quietly tried to push Prince Andrew out of the Royal Lodge, his Windsor estate.
On 3/8, a representative for Harry denied any physical altercation with his uncle to People magazine. Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace (on behalf of Prince William) declined to comment on the book’s content.
The author also details Prince Andrew's connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This association led to Andrew being stripped of his military titles and royal patronages while facing a sexual abuse lawsuit in the US in 2022. Since then, he has withdrawn from royal duties and has lived a quiet life.
Andrew Lownie based his book on research and documents obtained through the US Freedom of Information Act. He also conducted interviews with over 100 witnesses who had worked with or had access to the prince. The book, published by Harper Collins, a renowned publishing house based in the UK and the US, was released in mid-August.
Prince Andrew is the third child of Queen Elizabeth II. He married Sarah Ferguson in 1986 and divorced 10 years later. He held several important positions, including vice-admiral in the Royal Navy.
Author Andrew Lownie, 64, holds a master's degree and a doctorate from the University of Edinburgh and is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He owns a literary agency, representing over 200 non-fiction authors. He founded and chairs the Biographers' Club. In 2021, Lownie gained attention for publishing "The Traitor King", a book about the Duke of Windsor, Edward VIII.
