British woman travels to Vietnam for wedding dresses

Bride Janan Neirami, her mother, and her partner traveled to Vietnam to have wedding dresses made at designer Phan Huy's workshop.

Janan Neirami wore three custom-designed dresses by Phan Huy.

The designer stated that the wedding ceremony for Janan Neirami and Torben Geisler took place in Morocco. The 29-year-old bride works in finance.

The team completed the gowns in four months. The main wedding dress featured a sweetheart neckline and a corset structure, highlighting the wearer's delicate shoulders. Thousands of shimmering beads and 3D petals adorned the gown.

According to the designer, their connection began with the bride's mother, who followed his work. When she introduced her daughter to Phan Huy's designs, Janan Neirami was intrigued. She, her partner, and her mother traveled to TP HCM to discuss ideas and try on outfits with Phan Huy.

The pleated tulle skirt created a flowing, soft effect, dotted with floating silver floral accents, inspired by morning dew.

"I am happy that the bride's family trusted me," the designer said. For him, the four months spent creating the handmade dresses was not merely a tailoring process but also a blessing woven into every stitch.

Janan Neirami's mother also commissioned a gown for the wedding. Her dress was hand-embroidered with thousands of crystals.

For the evening reception, the bride wore a sweetheart midi dress with a flowing seashell structure, crafted from sheer fabric and gold thread.

The bride appeared in a pastel pink gown, a color representing the fresh spirit of Haute Couture fashion. Handmade 3D floral vines covered the bell-shaped skirt, allowing the bride to radiate sweetness and romance during the evening celebration.

Designer Phan Huy, 27, from Quang Tri, is a guest member of the Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. According to Vogue Hong Kong, the Paris Haute Couture runway welcomes a new generation of talent, with Phan Huy being the youngest designer ever chosen to present a collection.

Tatler Asia suggests that 2026 marks a significant milestone in Phan Huy's career, establishing the fashion house in a new position: a true haute couture designer with a global vision.

"Phan Huy's name is associated with exquisite, unique creations sought after by celebrities and high society. Phan Huy also represents a new generation of designers bringing Vietnamese materials and craftsmanship to the world's most prestigious runways," Tatler Asia commented.
