According to the Daily Mail on 20/6, a source close to the family revealed that Brooklyn received a substantial sum for participating in the campaign. "Any project that helps him generate revenue is a positive sign, as it shows Brooklyn's personal brand appeal and value are maintained," the source stated.
Earlier, on 15/6, he appeared in a marketing video for the brand, opening with the lines: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 at home. It's a long story." He then rose from a sofa, leaving a stack of football tickets on the table.
Three days later, Brooklyn continued to draw attention by posting the full version of the advertisement. In the video, David and Victoria Beckham's eldest son held a bag of World Cup 2026 tickets and told a delivery driver: "These might be for someone else. Leave them somewhere interesting." According to the caption, Brooklyn enlisted the company to hide the tickets in various locations for fans to find.
On social media, some viewers suggested that his words could be interpreted as an allusion to family discord, given Brooklyn's absence from the World Cup 2026 while David and Victoria attended the opening match in the US on 12/6.
Furthermore, many believe Brooklyn's motivation for partnering with the food delivery app was not entirely financial. He reportedly possesses an estimated 10 million USD in assets, and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, is the daughter of US billionaire Nelson Peltz. The situation garnered more attention following recent accusations by Brooklyn and his wife that his parents orchestrated a visit by his sister Harper to their Beverly Hills home to generate media buzz.
According to a Page Six source, the Beckham family was displeased with Brooklyn's collaboration with the app. "Brooklyn said he wanted peace, privacy, and no longer wished to be associated with the family. Now he's trying to make money from that narrative," the source commented.

Despite repeatedly asserting his desire to separate from the "Beckham brand," Brooklyn is frequently criticized by the media for leveraging his family's influence in his personal projects, such as his hot sauce brand Cloud23, the cooking show "Cookin' With Brooklyn," and other business ventures.
Brooklyn Beckham, 27 years old, is a prominent "nepo baby" (a term for children of famous or influential parents). After marrying actress Nicola in 2022, he lives and works in Los Angeles. Brooklyn is currently focusing on his chili sauce business. Previously, he pursued various careers, including modeling, barista, photographer, partnering with a company to open a pop-up restaurant, and launching a cooking show, none of which achieved significant success. As a child, Brooklyn intended to follow in his father's footsteps, spending years training with football teams but leaving the sport at 15 years old.
