According to Wenhui Bao on 4/8, pianist Liu Shi-Kun and his wife Sun Ying, along with students from their music school, concluded their tour in Saint Petersburg and Moskva. The art program was titled "Liu Shi-Kun International Music Journey - Master and Youth 2026".
The program featured performances by a Russian symphony orchestra, pieces by Liu Shi-Kun and Sun Ying, and solo acts by teenage and child students. Among the performers were the couple's two children: Liu Peipei, 5, and Liu Tian Tian, 3.

Tian Tian, accustomed to large audiences, showed no fear or shyness; the boy even accompanied his mother on the piano for a segment. Additionally, when Sun Ying played the pipa for "Moscow Nights", her two children danced along.
On Xinhua, Liu Shi-Kun stated that he brought his students to Russia to visit his "second homeland". His aim was to help them understand classical music and the meaning of art, thereby fostering a love for music in the younger generation. He and his wife operate an art training school in Hong Kong.

Liu Shi-Kun and Sun Ying married in 2017, a union that drew criticism due to Sun Ying being 37 years younger than her husband. On Mingpao, Sun Ying revealed she gave birth using eggs frozen more than 20 years prior. She noted that when she first met Liu Shi-Kun, he often seemed sad. They connected as kindred spirits.
Sun Ying once said: "Normally, my husband enjoys watching our children climb and play throughout the house. He can watch them for two or three hours without getting bored, and joy radiates from his eyes. These are the happiest, most contented moments of my life".

The couple instills a love for music in their children. At home or at the music school, Liu Shi-Kun often plays the piano for his children to dance to, guiding them in accompaniment if they show interest. The artist shared: "I hope my son and daughter grow up peacefully and healthily; this is my greatest wish. I am truly happy and feel warm watching them grow day by day".
