A platform statement revealed that from 1-31/7, the seven audiobooks garnered thousands of listening hours. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" saw a 551% increase in listens during its first week, while "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" experienced a 1,227% surge.

People reports that the rise in "Harry Potter" audiobook listeners comes as HBO prepares to release its television series adaptation this Christmas. The project stars Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton. Dominic McLaughlin, an 11-year-old Scottish actor, was chosen from thousands of applicants to portray Harry Potter.
Experts suggest this television adaptation could elevate Dominic, Arabella, and Alastair to global stardom, mirroring the success of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint in the early 2000s.

The "Harry Potter" series, comprising seven parts, was penned by British author J. K. Rowling. It chronicles the adventures of young wizard Harry Potter and his two friends at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The first installment, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," was published on 26/6/1997. To date, the seven books have sold 500 million copies, making it the best-selling book series in history, translated into 73 languages. The final installment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," released on 21/7/2007, sold 15 million copies globally within 24 hours.
The books were adapted into the "Harry Potter" film series (2001-2011). The eight films collectively grossed 7,7 billion USD at the box office and received 12 Oscar nominations. Upon its release, the first film became the highest-grossing film worldwide in 2001, establishing one of the most successful cinematic franchises in history. This year, Warner Bros. Discovery, which holds the rights to the film series, announced extensive plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first film's release.
