According to Variety, the Sony and Marvel blockbuster grossed 1,05 billion USD globally as of the end of 4/8. In North America, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" brought in 407 million USD after four days, becoming the fastest film to surpass the 400 million USD mark in this market. Revenue from non-North American markets currently stands at 645,8 million USD. At its current pace, the film is projected to potentially reach the two billion USD mark, making it one of the rare films to exceed this figure.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is the 4th film this year to exceed one billion USD in revenue, following "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" (1,001 billion USD), "Michael" (1,001 billion USD), and "Toy Story 5" (1,067 billion USD). Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" has currently grossed 912 million USD and is likely to soon join the billion-dollar club.

Experts believe that despite it only being August, this year has seen the highest number of films surpassing the one billion USD mark since the pandemic disrupted cinema operations. Previously, in 2019, 9 projects achieved this feat, including "Avengers: Endgame", "The Lion King", "Aladdin", "Joker", "Spider-Man: Far From Home", and "Captain Marvel". Since then, no year has had more than three films exceed the one billion USD mark.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige stated that Brand New Day's achievement is a positive sign for upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. "Avengers: Doomsday" will be released in December, bringing together many MCU superheroes, and will also mark the appearance of Robert Downey Jr. as the villain Doctor Doom.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is the 4th installment starring Tom Holland. In the previous film, Doctor Strange cast a spell causing everyone to forget Peter Parker's identity. Consequently, Peter must fight crime alone in New York, without the companionship of MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon). Peter continues to face a new threat with the appearance of a mysterious character, played by Sadie Sink. Simultaneously, the character undergoes unusual physical transformations, endangering himself.

A distinguishing feature of the film compared to many superhero movies is that the protagonist cannot use his powers to protect everyone he loves. Each time he saves others, he may still have to accept loss and injury. Therefore, Peter constantly faces difficult choices, where ensuring everyone's safety sometimes means sacrificing his own life and happiness.
