Last weekend, the Beckham family once again drew international media attention. The incident began with paparazzi photos of 15-year-old Harper, the Beckhams' youngest daughter, alone outside the Beverly Hills, California, mansion of her brother Brooklyn and his wife on 12/6.
Harper arrived at 2 PM, after attending her father, former football star David Beckham's, star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier that day. According to The Sun, she did not announce her visit, left quickly when she couldn't meet Brooklyn, and left a handwritten letter.

Some news outlets reported that she was attempting to reconcile the family without success. Shortly after photos of Harper circulated, Brooklyn posted a picture of himself jogging in New York on Instagram Story. The Telegraph suggested he did this to show he was not home when Harper arrived.
In a statement to the media on 14/6, a spokesperson for Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, asserted that his parents orchestrated the incident. "The fact that paparazzi were there when the letter was delivered says it all – this was a staged scene for the cameras", Brooklyn's representative stated.

However, according to The Sun, a source close to the Beckhams refuted Brooklyn's accusation, calling it "absurd, false, and unfair."
Before this incident, Harper was the only family member Brooklyn featured on his social media during his estrangement from his family. Last July, Brooklyn shared a photo of himself and his wife with his sister to celebrate Harper's birthday. Prior to that, he ignored important events involving his parents and two younger brothers. The family had not met since Christmas 2024, which was their last photo together.

In a "tell-all" interview in January, Brooklyn revealed that family relations fractured after his marriage to Nicola in 2022. He criticized his parents for "trying to control his life," "spreading countless lies to the media," "sabotaging his and his wife's relationship," and "prioritizing the Beckham brand above all else." Brooklyn declared he had no desire for reconciliation, only wanting a peaceful life with his wife. He removed tattoos related to his family and siblings, and unfollowed all family accounts on Instagram.
To date, Vic-Beck has avoided mentioning the conflict with their eldest son at public events, or has spoken evasively. In an interview with Variety on 12/6, when asked about "malicious" reports regarding the rift and their impact on family members, the former football star declined to comment, stating it was a private matter. In the Wall Street Journal in April, designer Victoria stated that she and her husband "strive to be the best parents they can be" when questioned about Brooklyn, but did not mention his name.
