Thao My portrays Minh, a strong-willed, outspoken young woman with a deep passion for football. Her dream of becoming a player faces strong opposition from her family. After being deceived and losing the chance to join the national team, Minh decides to form a village team to compete in a local tournament, steadily pursuing her goal. Thao My, 22 years old, previously starred in the film 'Cach em 1 milimet'.

The director noted that the entire cast faced challenges in their initial encounters with football. Many scenes requiring technical skill were filmed continuously for hours under the sun. Off-camera, they diligently practiced to master the movements. Thao My, for instance, could juggle the ball 25 times consecutively as required by the director.

Dan Le plays Yen, a gentle and patient woman who dedicates most of her time to her family. As a full-time homemaker, she constantly lives in fear due to her abusive husband's unpredictable outbursts.
To authentically portray a rural woman, Dan Le sourced old clothing suitable for the character. During filming, she also limited sunscreen use to achieve a more tanned complexion, creating a rugged appearance that fit Yen's working life.
This role marks Dan Le's return to the screen after four years. She previously gained attention for her character Mai in the film 'Anh co phai dan ong khong?', which aired in 2022.

Tuan Tu portrays Yen's abusive husband, featured in a scene where he slaps his wife before being attacked by her friends. According to the actors, despite their efforts to control force and use physical techniques, Tuan Tu still experienced pain during the filming of these altercations.
