Vicky Nhung has unveiled an electronic rendition of Dong Thien Duc's ballad, "Sao lai khong the," offering a fresh interpretation of the emotional track. The new version marks a departure from the songwriter's characteristic style.

Originally, Dong Thien Duc crafted "Sao lai khong the" as a ballad, his signature style. The lyrics explore the theme of two individuals deeply in love who ultimately drift apart. However, the song also carries a message of hope: separation is not an end, but often an opportunity for personal growth.

Vicky Nhung sought to present the narrative with a new energy. Her team crafted an arrangement blending future bass with electronic pop. This sound contrasts with the song's melody, creating a unique experience. Vicky Nhung emphasized that the electronic elements aim to open a new space for the track, rather than simply creating vibrancy.

Reimagining a song by Dong Thien Duc, known for his narrative style, catchy melodies, and direct emotions (as seen in hits such as: Ai chung tinh duoc mai, Ngay mai nguoi ta lay chong, and Khoa ly biet), challenged Vicky Nhung and her team. They carefully balanced the arrangement and mixing to preserve the essence of the original composition.

Dong Thien Duc approved of Vicky Nhung's creative direction. "I hope the audience can still connect with my music, but from a fresh perspective," he stated.

Nguyen Hong Nhung, 39, known as Vicky Nhung, hails from Hai Phong. She gained recognition on The Voice Vietnam in 2015, where she joined coach Dam Vinh Hung's team. Since then, she has established herself as a versatile artist, working as a singer, songwriter, and music producer. Her works include Viet Nam nhung chuyen di, Loi tai mua, Ngay mai nguoi ta lay chong, Quen roi kho dau nam ay, and the "Chill with Vicky Nhung" series, which reimagines familiar songs and has garnered millions of views.

Dang Huu Duc, 39, professionally known as songwriter Dong Thien Duc, is from Gia Lai. Born into a family without artistic ties, he pursued a career as a programmer before transitioning to songwriting.
