Conductor husband gifts Lan Thy 'dream wedding'

Conductor Dustin Tieu spent months conceptualizing a classic-themed wedding for actress Lan Thy.

The couple held their wedding celebration on 20/7 in TP HCM, inviting close friends and colleagues. "Even today, I still feel a lingering elation from being the groom," Dustin Tieu shared, releasing images from the joyous day. The conductor stated he kept his promise to give his wife a "dream wedding".

He meticulously designed the space around the theme "Concordia", based on the Latin phrase meaning "harmony and accord". They integrated painting, music, cinema, and nature to narrate their journey together.

The central position featured an image of the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House – the location of the couple's first date.

The interior space was designed with inspiration from a road leading towards the horizon, where an ancient tree stood silently amidst nature. According to Dustin Tieu, he chose this image to symbolize their love, promising to be as strong as tree roots firmly planted in the earth.

Amidst the forest-like natural setting, the team lit hundreds of candles, creating a shimmering ambiance. A piano – an instrument tied to the groom's career – was placed beneath the image of a sprawling tree canopy. Here, Dustin Tieu played a piece of music to welcome his partner into the aisle.

Actress Pham Nguyen Lan Thy, 28 years old, was formerly a photo model and had studied medicine. In 2022, she gained public recognition for her role as Diem in the film Em va Trinh, directed by Phan Gia Nhat Linh. Subsequently, she appeared in films such as Cong tu Bac Lieu, Am duong lo, and Tiem an cua quy.

Dustin Tieu, whose real name is Tieu Nguyen Duc Anh, is 29 years old and currently the conductor of a symphony orchestra. He graduated with a professional piano diploma from Gracias Music Preparatory School in South Korea, then studied at Mahanaim Conservatory in the US. Dustin Tieu also completed conducting training for choirs and orchestras with leading instructors from Yale University and the National Music Institute of Bulgaria. Over the years, he has conducted many large-scale concerts, attracting thousands of audience members.
