For the first time, she collaborated with Ly Vo Phu Hung on a fashion photoshoot centered on dance. They met at the international dancesport festival in Vietnam last year. The photographer contacted her about capturing aerial movements and poses. "I found this idea very interesting, and we discussed it thoroughly to achieve the desired photos", Thu Huong said.

The dancesport master prepared three outfits and three pairs of high heels measuring 8,5 cm, 7 cm, and 3 cm. According to the dancer, dancesport requires a partner for lifts. She faced difficulties posing high in the air by herself.

She and the photographer chose a film studio in TP HCM for the shoot, taking 5 hours to complete the shots.

According to the dancer, dancesport shoes are open-toed, so when flying up and landing, the tips of her toes rubbed against pebbles, causing sharp pain. However, seeing her colleague's dedication, the pain quickly faded.

Photographer Ly Vo Phu Hung said that after watching dancesport videos, he always dreamed of creating a spring dance photoshoot with a professional athlete. "Thu Huong is talented and has brought many achievements to Vietnam's dancesport. I was very happy when she accepted", he said.

Thu Huong, 36 years old, graduated with distinction from the Vietnam Dance Academy and has been a national master since 2007. She is currently a single mother with a six-year-old son.

The dancer has been Phan Hien's partner since 2019. They have achieved many competition successes, including gold medals at the 31st SEA Games in the five-dance Latin all-around, solo Paso Doble, and solo Jive categories. In 2024, they became the first Vietnamese dancesport pair to rank 41st in the world, thanks to a top 10 finish at the World Open Latin 2024 competition. In 7/2025, they won three Southeast Asian dancesport gold medals at the international dancesport festival in Vietnam. Thu Huong and Phan Hien also secured a bronze medal at an event organized by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) in the US.
