The former Miss World Vietnamese 2010 discusses her family and life in Canada after over two years of marriage.
After experiencing a miscarriage last winter, Diem Huong and her husband, David Lieu, returned to Vietnam to seek fertility treatment. Their efforts were successful with IVF, and they are now joyfully awaiting the arrival of their second child.

The couple acknowledges the challenges of IVF and expresses gratitude for their success. They anxiously awaited the 12-week mark and are now looking forward to their child's birth.
Diem Huong's pregnancy has not significantly disrupted her schedule. Unlike her first pregnancy, she hasn't experienced severe morning sickness and has maintained her weight at 60 kg. She is currently taking time off work to rest and prepare for the birth, focusing on her health and communicating with her unborn child.
Her husband, David Lieu, has been attentive and supportive, researching parenting methods and preparing meals. He also ensures she isn't alone, taking her on evening walks. Diem Huong jokes that her husband is working harder than she is, even trying to soothe the baby in the womb.
Living in Canada without family support, the couple relies on each other, though Diem Huong's mother in Vietnam regularly calls with advice.

David Lieu works in sales for a car company, providing a stable income for the family. They are not facing financial pressure. He has already made arrangements for the birth and postpartum care, planning to take six months off to care for his wife and newborn. He is excited about decorating the nursery and documenting the baby's journey.
Diem Huong's 10-year-old son, Noah, is helpful and responsible, contributing to household chores and eager to assist with the baby.
Reflecting on her transition from a prominent figure in the entertainment industry to a homemaker in a foreign country, Diem Huong embraces her current life. She accepts the label of a "poor" beauty queen, emphasizing the importance of family, health, and a stable home over wealth and status. She expresses gratitude for her kind husband and well-behaved son.
Supported by her husband in Canada, Diem Huong previously worked as an event MC and did permanent makeup for additional income. She has adapted to a more frugal lifestyle due to the higher cost of living. While she previously had help with household tasks in Vietnam, she now manages everything herself, including weekly grocery shopping.
Diem Huong expresses gratitude for her parents and her faith. She wishes she had spent more time understanding her parents when she was younger. Looking back, she doesn't dwell on losses, appreciating her current family, financial security, and mature perspective.
Diem Huong hopes both Noah and her unborn child will remember their Vietnamese heritage, respect their family, and grow into kind, contributing members of society.
