On the evening of 20/9 (early morning of 21/9, Hanoi time), Duc Phuc competed in the final round of the competition, held at the 11,000-seat Live Arena in Moscow. He performed "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" (composed by Ho Hoai Anh), a song inspired by Nguyen Duy's poem "Tre Viet Nam" (Vietnamese Bamboo) and the legend of Saint Giong.
His performance featured familiar Vietnamese cultural imagery, such as bamboo and rush mats, and incorporated dance and rap alongside his dancers. His performance led the final night with a total of 422 points.
Second place went to Nomad Trio from Kyrgyzstan (373 points) and third place to Dana Al Meer from Qatar (369 points).
As the MC announced the results, contestants and the audience cheered. Duc Phuc shouted "Vietnam" while raising the trophy amid a shower of confetti.
He was moved because exactly 10 years prior, he had won The Voice of Vietnam, which launched his career. "I am very grateful for the audience's support and the jury's recognition of the contestant from Vietnam. After 10 years, I have become the winner of Intervision. It's a truly wonderful feeling," he said.
Singers Hoa Minzy and Erik traveled to Russia to support their colleague. Witnessing Duc Phuc's victory, Erik commented: "To me, this is a well-deserved reward for his dedicated and passionate career."
Before stepping onto the stage, Duc Phuc admitted to feeling slightly nervous. He arrived in Russia on 11/9 to prepare, rehearse, and stage his performance with the organizers' team.

Intervision, originally known as the Intervision Song Contest, was initiated by the International Radio and Television Organisation (OIRT). In its early years (1965-1968), the competition took place in Czechoslovakian cities like Prague, Bratislava, and Karlovy Vary. From 1977 to 1980, Intervision was revived in Sopot, Poland, replacing the Sopot International Song Festival. During this period, the program began attracting contestants from various countries. After 1980, the competition was discontinued.
In 2008, the Five Stars: Intervision event, held in Sochi, Russia, was considered a revival of Intervision. On 3/2 of this year, President Putin issued a decree to relaunch the Intervision competition, inviting countries to participate with the aim of developing international cultural and humanitarian cooperation and promoting traditional values.
The competition is currently organized by the Art Traditions Foundation for Protection and Support of Cultural Heritage and Promotion of National and World Culture.
This year, the competition attracted contestants from Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, China, Egypt, the US, Kenya, Kazakhstan, UAE, Russia, Brazil, Tajikistan, Qatar, Madagascar, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Ethiopia, Venezuela, Serbia, South Africa, Vietnam, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and India. The performance order in the final was determined by a draw on 12/9. According to Reuters, the US contestant withdrew at the last minute.
Duc Phuc accepted the invitation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to participate in the program. Each contestant prepared a performance of a popular song from their country or a new composition. A maximum of six people were allowed on stage, including the main singer, backing vocalists, and dancers. Each country appointed a member to the jury, and Vietnam's representative was musician Trong Dai.
Nguyen Duc Phuc, 28, from Hanoi, won The Voice of Vietnam in 2015 under the mentorship of My Tam. His hits include "Anh Nang Cua Anh" (My Sunshine), "Ta Con Yeu Nhau" (We Still Love Each Other), "Con Yeu Dau Ai Roi Di" (Who Leaves While Still in Love?), "Hon Ca Yeu" (More Than Love), "Nguoi Oi Nguoi O Dung Ve" (Don't Go Home, My Love), and "Ngay Dau Sau Chia Tay" (The First Day After Breaking Up).
