The "Ao Dai with Life - Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest" art program, part of the 12th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, took place on the evening of 7/3. In addition to showcasing collections, designers also walked the runway with a lineup of beauty queens.
Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy wore a Nguyen Dynasty Nhat Binh ao dai by designer Tran Thien Khanh (right). The design featured a regal "doi kham" collar and meticulous floral embroidery. Tran Thien Khanh is a prominent name in ao dai designs inspired by imperial court attire.

The program also featured four collections by designers Viet Hung, Song Toan, Minh Chau, and Trung Dinh, under the theme "Green". These garments used environmentally friendly materials, closely linked to daily life and agricultural production.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2026, spearheaded by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, commemorates several milestones this year: the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh being renamed Ho Chi Minh City, 1,986 years since the Hai Ba Trung Uprising, and the 116th International Women's Day on 8/3.
