Nguyen Phuong Thao garnered attention for her participation in a demonstration at the "Day for a Peaceful Capital" event on the morning of 10/8. Dressed in a traffic police uniform, she executed decisive martial arts moves alongside her colleagues to subdue individuals disrupting public order.
Thao dedicated seven days to intensive training for the scenario, adhering strictly to safety protocols. She coordinated every move seamlessly with her team members, ensuring technical precision and showcasing the professionalism of the police force.

On social media, many praised Thao's performance. The police captain expressed surprise and gratitude for the positive feedback. "It's not just a joy but also a motivation for me to continue training and improving myself," she said.

Originally from Thanh Hoa, Nguyen Phuong Thao currently serves in the Social Order Crime Investigation Police Unit, Van Dinh Commune Police, Hanoi. She began practicing martial arts in middle school, initially to improve her health, agility, and self-defense skills. Gradually, her passion grew as martial arts instilled in her courage, perseverance, and discipline. Since her school days, Thao has competed professionally, representing the Thanh Hoa provincial karate team.

As a child, Phuong Thao admired police officers in the TV series "Criminal Police," nurturing a dream of contributing to public safety. When she decided to pursue a career in law enforcement, her family, though concerned about the hardships, supported her decision. Her mother encouraged her, saying, "If you're determined, the whole family will be your strongest support."
