Loewe's pre-spring/summer 2026 collection immerses fashion enthusiasts in the surreal world of British artist Louis Wain, known as "The Man Who Drew Cats". His career, spanning painting to ceramics, culminated in the Futurist Cat vases, providing rich creative resources that reshape Loewe's classic designs.

The ceramic cat vases, previously reinterpreted on signature bag styles like Amazona and Puzzle, embody Wain's characteristic playful spirit.

The cats in the new collection feature unique shapes crafted through leather marquetry, embroidery, and various illusory patterns on leather. In the pre-spring/summer 2026 collection, Wain's ceramic cat vase imagery transforms into a new clutch bag named Futurist Cat, reinterpreted in 3D.

The campaign, photographed by Carlijn Jacobs, highlights a vibrant metallic color palette, evoking a festive holiday atmosphere. The leather marquetry, embroidery details, and glossy material finishes on the new fashion pieces bring a joyful energy and a touch of humor.

The Puzzle, Flamenco, and Amazona handbags feature cat images rendered with intarsia (a technique for creating multicolored patterns). Other bags are shaped based on cat faces, paw prints, or stripes.

The new collection also introduces refreshed Hammock Flip, Puzzle Panta, Flamenco, and Draped Tote leather bags, maintaining a balance between signature silhouettes and soft textures. These designs are suitable for daily use, with customizable zippers and flexible straps.

Cat-loving gentlemen also find a place in the new collection. A range of leather wallets featuring Louis Wain's cat motifs on soft leather, as well as new versions of the Puzzle bag and Bucket bag, have been launched specifically for men.
Louis Wain, renowned in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, is best known for his anthropomorphic cat paintings, characterized by their vivid personalities. The artist was also a prominent cat enthusiast and once served as president of the National Cat Club. Later in life, schizophrenia affected his artwork, shifting his style from whimsical to abstract and hallucinatory.
In Vietnam, the Loewe brand is officially distributed by Tam Son International Company.
