The Miss Hong Kong 2026 pageant has commenced its preliminary phase, with 84 women vying for a spot in the final round. The competition, organized by TVB, began in early June, and the grand final is scheduled for late August. Contestants must be Chinese women between the ages of 17 and 27.

Following initial interviews with all 84 women, the organizing committee will narrow down the field to approximately 15 finalists. These finalists will then undergo intensive training, focusing on etiquette and catwalk skills, essential for success in the pageant and potential careers in the entertainment industry. Lok Yik Linh, a member of the organizing committee, noted that the contestants are charming and many possess qualities suitable for development within the entertainment sector, with beauty being the primary criterion.

This year's lineup continues a trend of highly educated participants. HK01 highlighted three contestants, Lieu Tu San, Ly Trach Han, and On Tu Dinh, as having significant potential to advance far in the competition.
