My Tam's simple life

Singer My Tam, 44, chooses a simple life close to nature away from the spotlight.

The singer posted a photo of herself making half a heart shape with her hand on her personal page with the caption "Looking for the other half" on 12/8, receiving tens of thousands of likes. Many fans speculated that she is about to release a new album, some suggested this implies she is living a happy life.

My Tam primarily uses social media to update her performance schedule, share behind-the-scenes videos, and interact with fans through music. She rarely posts about personal feelings or relationships.

My Tam is one of the most private Vietnamese celebrities, maintaining a clean image. When sharing her views on relationships, the singer has consistently responded for many years: "I always give my all in love, but consider marriage a matter of fate".

Recently, she was rumored to be dating actor Mai Tai Phen, having appeared together at various events, but both artists chose not to comment on their relationship status.

The singer only posts photos with her parents when returning to her hometown of Da Nang for Lunar New Year or family anniversaries.

Occasionally, My Tam shares everyday moments of drinking tea, cooking, arranging flowers, gardening, or spending time with her siblings and niece.

My Tam enjoys being close to nature. Over five years ago, the singer began building her dream garden on thousands of square meters of land in Cu Chi (TP HCM) with various fruit trees, flowers, ornamental plants, and vegetables. The singer says she has enough fresh food for all four seasons, eliminating the need for outside purchases.

The 8x singer spends much of her time composing, developing ideas for music products, and managing her own business. In her moments alone, she often listens to music and drinks wine.

In addition to her artistic activities, My Tam regularly engages in philanthropy. She established a private fund from her company's profits to provide charity houses, scholarships, support for the disadvantaged, and elderly artists in need. "I don't think that being a singer obligates me to do charity work, but it comes from wanting to do something every day to make life better," the singer said.

Since having the garden, the singer travels less and often invites close friends and colleagues to visit and experience the resort-like green space.

"Whenever I return to the garden and breathe in the scent of plants, my mind feels refreshed, and I feel more inspired to work," the singer once said.

She has a simple style in her daily life. The "brown-haired nightingale" often wears t-shirts and jeans when appearing at her company, working with her staff.

My Tam is famous for numerous hit songs. The singer has won awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2012 (MAMA), Asia's Music Legend, and the Big Apple Music Awards. In 2019, My Tam produced the film "Chi Tro Ly Cua Anh" and continually released singles and soundtrack albums.

The singer held the "Tri Am" live show to commemorate 20 years of singing in TP HCM and Hanoi in 4/2021 and 11/2022, respectively. She premiered her first documentary, "Nguoi Giu Thoi Gian", in 4/2023, using the box office proceeds for charity.
