Having settled in Massachusetts with her husband and two children for the past 10 years, Pham Thanh Thao has embraced a quiet, peaceful life. The singer shares that her husband is a skilled cook and passionate gardener. On their extensive family property, the couple has set aside an area to build trellises and cultivate various vegetables.
According to the singer, the northeastern United States experiences long winters, with summers lasting only about three months. Consequently, she and her husband start seeds indoors early, waiting for warmer weather before transplanting seedlings to the garden. During each frost, plants like gourds, bitter melon, and cucumbers perish, while only resilient herbs such as chives, celery, and basil naturally re-sprout in spring.
Her husband installed an automatic irrigation system that waters twice daily and hires someone to weed every weekend, ensuring the garden remains clean and vibrant. The singer mentions her husband's preference for spicy food; some years, they plant up to 150 chili plants, harvesting and processing them into chili paste for ongoing use.

"Watching the plants flower and bear fruit, and picking water spinach, jute mallow, or a few tomatoes for soup each afternoon brings joy to our family", Pham Thanh Thao said.
Since her marriage, she has largely set aside her passion for singing to nurture her home life. Occasionally, the singer accepts invitations to perform at churches or participates in charity events for the Vietnamese community. When traveling for performances, she entrusts her two children to their paternal grandparents.
Pham Thanh Thao states that her husband is busy with immigration services, sponsorship, and tax filing. Additionally, he holds a real estate broker's license and has been investing in land purchases and new home construction for business for the past 5 years.
With stable finances, the couple's primary goal is to raise their children to be well-behaved and compassionate. The singer regularly takes her two sons on charity trips, hoping they develop understanding and empathy from a young age.
Pham Thanh Thao, 47, was once a renowned singer and MC. She gained popularity through songs like "Mung tuoi me", "Doi me", "Ngay xua oi", and "Ao dai oi". In 2015, she married businessman and musician Vo Nguyen Truong Son, and they settled in the US.
