Phan Dinh Tung's 75-year-old mother celebrates his new tet music release

Singer Phan Dinh Tung expressed happiness at welcoming his mother to the launch of his self-composed song, "Happy New Year".

He wrote "Happy New Year" with simple, memorable lyrics so everyone could sing along. Phan Dinh Tung mentioned he is not a professional musician, so his expertise is limited. However, through the song, he aims to spread a humanitarian message about life, helping people forget stress and embrace spring with optimism.
On 11/2, Phan Dinh Tung introduced a new song as part of his Dinh Music - New Visual New Me project, which began in late 2025. Dinh Thi Phuong, born in 1951, attended the event to congratulate her son.

This marked a rare occasion for Phan Dinh Tung to bring his mother to a showbiz event. On stage, he adjusted her outfit and showed her how to pose for photos.

She watched her son perform at the event. For the new year, Phan Dinh Tung shared that his greatest wish is for his family members to always be healthy and peaceful. "I hope my mother lives a long time to gather with her children and grandchildren", the singer said.

Throughout his career, Phan Dinh Tung stated that his mother has been his motivation, supporting him in all aspects. When he started a family and had children, she offered much advice, helping him become a responsible husband and father.

A highlight of the song is the rap section by G-Ducky (top, left). At the event, they recreated the atmosphere of celebrating Tet around a banh chung pot.

Many close colleagues also came to congratulate Phan Dinh Tung. He and singer Phuong Thanh performed a duet of "Thu cuoi", a once-popular hit by Yanbi and Mr. T, which they re-recorded and released early this year.

Backstage, Phan Dinh Tung presented Phuong Thanh with a gift as a token of gratitude. He recounted that she has significantly influenced his career journey. During a difficult period when he was hospitalized, Phuong Thanh visited him and provided money to help cover his medical expenses.

"I can never forget this kindness," he stated. Phuong Thanh mentioned that they are developing several joint plans for the new year.

The singer, born in 1975, is a former member of the group MTV. After leaving the group, he gained recognition with a series of songs including "Ngoi ben em", "Khuc hat mung sinh nhat", "Boi vi anh yeu em", "Cao cao la tre", and "Con gai nho cua ba". In 2024, Phan Dinh Tung participated in "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai", drawing attention with his dance performances and energetic music. In late 2025, he organized Dinh Show, a concert celebrating his 50th birthday.

He married singer Thai Ngoc Bich in 2012. They have a daughter, Ngoc Chau, 12 years old, and a son, Tri Duc, 5 years old.
