The incident occurred during an art program in Hokkaido, where Planck Stars was invited to perform several songs, according to Ettoday. While performing their song "Ufoufo", the members removed their outer jackets, revealing summer attire such as shorts and short-sleeved tops. Anaru Rairai, in particular, wore a swimsuit, delivering an energetic performance.
Images of Anaru Rairai's performance quickly circulated on online forums and social media, drawing significant attention. Audience reactions were mixed: some praised the singer's resilience in the cold, while others criticized the management company for allegedly mistreating the members. A notable portion of the public also deemed the performance arrangement inappropriate for the weather conditions.
On 10/2, Planck Stars' management company issued a statement, clarifying that the members had insisted on performing in swimsuits, T-shirts, and shorts, and that the company did not make this decision. The management emphasized its commitment to prioritizing the safety and health of its artists, while also considering audience sentiments during all work activities.

According to the group's manager, the performance was intended as a "surprise gift" for their fans, and the organizers were not informed beforehand about the members' plan to remove their jackets during the show. The manager urged the public to refrain from attacking either the event organizers or the singers.
The management company also apologized for any negative feelings caused among the audience. They pledged to ensure that in future performances in cold weather, the singers would be required to wear adequately warm clothing.
