Piaget launches 'house of gold' jewelry collection for the festive season

Piaget's gold jewelry collection showcases exquisite engraving techniques and decorative lines featuring "decor palace" motifs.

Brand ambassador, South Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun (Gianna Jun), wears a necklace from the new collection. For Piaget, gold is crafted into signature jewelry designs through artisan skill and creative vision. Without these elements, gold would only possess pure material value.

The "House of Gold" jewelry collection from Piaget highlights the exceptional skill of artisans in crafting gold, defining the brand's identity and creative legacy. Piaget deeply explores the physical structure of jewelry, combining its signature rotating mechanism with hand-finished gold surfaces.

International fashion model Ella Richards appears in the image, wearing the brand's latest jewelry designs, which connect to the gold craftsmanship heritage of jewelers from the 1950s.

The designs in "House of Gold" are developed from iconic jewelry lines like Possession – a collection launched in 1990 with the idea of transforming gold into an everyday luxury material through exquisite daily jewelry pieces.

Through the Possession line, Piaget revitalized women's daily jewelry wearing habits from the 1990s, making personalized designs a part of their lifestyle rather than just jewelry for special occasions.

The centerpiece of the collection is the Extraleganza necklace, combining elegant lines with an intricate crafting style. The design uses approximately 8 carats of diamonds, arranged on a structure of medaille plates (round or oval metal pieces inspired by medals) linked by a hand-finished chain.

Among Piaget's gold crafting techniques, with over 1,000 recorded in its archives, the "decor palace" motif is considered a signature. This motif first appeared in 1961, inspired by guilloche engraving in watchmaking.

Decor Palace is hand-engraved, creating gold surfaces with depth and distinct structure. In medium-sized pendant designs, the brand contrasts polished or diamond-set gold with the Decor Palace surface, connected by diamond-studded links.
