"I value these songs that have resonated with generations of Vietnamese people. The more I learn, the more I feel the profound humanistic depth embedded in each work. Singing Russian music is also my way of expressing gratitude to my teachers", the singer stated. She and her team aim to preserve the authentic beauty of the works while introducing fresh, accessible elements through new arrangements. Khanh Ly and her guests will perform "Doi Bo", "Trieu Doa Hong", "Volga Xinh Dep", "Gio Nay Anh O Dau", and "Chieu Hai Cang".
The liveshow, titled "Khat Vong Tinh Yeu" (Aspiration for Love), is structured as a continuous musical narrative. It explores themes of war, peace, and the journey of seeking and preserving love. On stage, Khanh Ly will perform with a semi-classical orchestra of nearly 30 musicians, a choir, backing vocalists, and a dance troupe.
In the final segment, Khanh Ly will present a fresh take on contemporary music, including "Tai Sinh" by Tang Duy Tan. According to the singer, performing contemporary music does not mean abandoning academic values. Instead, it offers an opportunity to integrate vocal techniques into popular art forms, helping to bring academic music closer to the public. Musician Quang Vinh is responsible for the musical direction and composed the choral arrangements for the opening and closing songs.
Guest artists include Quang Tho, Le Anh Dung, Minh Chuyen, Khac Hoa, and the Dong Thoi Gian group. Meritorious Artist To Nga and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet are producing the program.
Khanh Ly, 42, holds a doctorate in music and is currently a lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. She is a prominent chamber singer, having won several prestigious awards. She secured second prize at the Hanoi Television Singing Festival in 2006, and third prize in the Sao Mai competition's chamber music category in 2011. In 2017, she won second prize in the Ho Chi Minh City Chamber and Opera Singing Competition. Her released albums include "Mien Xa Tham", "Mua La Di Qua", "Loi Ru Nguon Coi", and numerous music videos such as "Mua Dong Khong Lanh", "Khuc Ru", "Khuc Mua Xuan", "Ly", "Ha Noi Ngay Thang Cu", and "Con Mai Voi Non Song".
