The Beckhams have once again become the focus of international media attention following Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz's second wedding ceremony. On 12/8, the couple shared photos from their special day, notably without the groom's family present in any of the pictures. According to The Sun, David and Victoria Beckham, along with their other children, were not invited and only learned about the event through the internet. The news outlet suggests the ceremony signifies Brooklyn "leaving" his immediate family.

Brooklyn also didn't invite friends from the UK, such as Rocco Ritchie (son of director Guy Ritchie and singer Madonna), the children of chef Gordon Ramsay, and model Anais Gallagher (daughter of singer Noel Gallagher). The Daily Mail reports they are no longer in contact and have unfollowed each other on Instagram. Most guests at the vow renewal were Nicola's family and friends, and people Brooklyn befriended after his marriage. Nicola's father, billionaire Nelson Peltz, officiated the ceremony.
No members of the Beckham family interacted with the couple's social media posts or offered congratulations. Previously, David and Victoria would occasionally like Brooklyn's cooking and work-related posts, but not those featuring Nicola.
A source told The Sun, "This event was the final straw for David and Victoria. Nelson's prominent role in the ceremony was particularly hurtful for David."

On 13/8, Nicola's close friend, Rebecca Faria, defended the couple in a comment on their post. Faria, a guest at the celebration, claimed Nicola was the first to stand up for her values because she doesn't care about her in-laws' fame and fortune.
"I've known Nicola for years. She's genuine, humble, and refuses to live in a fake world. So, if you don't know the real story, don't talk nonsense," Faria wrote.
She also mentioned Brooklyn, asserting he is a grown man capable of defending himself. "If Brooklyn left, it's because he knows exactly what environment he grew up in," she stated.
This is the latest development in the ongoing Beckham family feud. Media outlets began reporting on the issue in April after Brooklyn and Nicola repeatedly missed family gatherings and ignored important occasions like his parents' birthdays and David Beckham's knighthood.
On social media, the couple haven't posted photos together or mentioned David, Victoria, or Brooklyn's brothers, Romeo and Cruz, since Christmas 2024. However, Brooklyn recently mentioned his family twice. First, for his sister Harper's birthday on 10/7, he posted a photo with her and Nicola, writing, "We love you." On 24/7, he wished his grandfather a happy 77th birthday on his Instagram Story.

The cause of the rift remains unclear. Some sources suggest Brooklyn was uncomfortable with Romeo dating DJ Mia Regan, rumored to be his ex-girlfriend, and didn't want to see her at family gatherings. However, Cruz denied the relationship through an Instagram comment. On 4/6, US media confirmed Romeo and Regan's breakup after seven months, unrelated to the recent family disagreements.
In early May, TMZ reported the conflict stemmed from Nicola's desire to protect Brooklyn from his parents' treatment, disliking their perceived selfishness.
Brooklyn and Nicola married in 4/2022 after three years of dating and live in Los Angeles. Brooklyn frequently expresses his love for Nicola on social media. They first met at Coachella 2017 through her brother, Diesel, and began dating around Halloween 2019. Their wedding cost nearly four million USD.
Vow renewals are a common practice in Western cultures. Brides magazine explains it's a way for couples to reaffirm their commitment after a period of marriage, either privately or with family and friends present.
