The cozy home of 'Princess Consort' actor

Yan Kuan, the Chinese actor known for "Princess Consort" and "Zhu Yu", indulges his passion for gardening at his Beijing villa.

On his personal page, Yan Kuan (whose new stage name is Yan Yikuan) posted several photos of his small garden blooming in May.

He and his wife, actress Du Ruoxi, renovated their family grounds and bought many potted plants to cultivate.

Chinese actor Yan Kuan, known for his roles in "Princess Consort" and "Zhu Yu", recently offered a glimpse into his Beijing villa, showcasing his profound passion for gardening. On his personal page, Yan Kuan (whose new stage name is Yan Yikuan) posted several photos in May, featuring his small garden in full bloom.

The actor stated his passion for decorating the small garden; his daily joy is admiring and smelling the fragrance from various roses.

Yan Kuan and his wife, actress Du Ruoxi, have transformed their family grounds, cultivating many potted plants. The couple, who married in Bali, Indonesia in 2014, have an eight-year-old daughter and have now unveiled their Beijing living space for the first time.

The actor photographed his wife and daughter at home one weekend.

The actor shared his love for decorating the garden, noting that his daily joy comes from admiring and smelling the fragrance of various roses. Tending to the soil and moving plants helps Yan Kuan feel refreshed and mentally relaxed. His family often hosts outdoor parties, inviting relatives to attend, with the actor adorning their home with garden flowers.

At the end of 2025, the couple returned to Bali, their wedding destination.

Yan Kuan, 47, is a prominent figure in Chinese television, celebrated for numerous hit series. His notable works include "Princess Consort" (co-starring Ruby Lin), "Young Zhang Sanfeng", "Wudang", "The Last Gege", "The New Water Margin", and "Sui Tang Romance". Earlier this year, Yan Kuan received critical acclaim for his acting and presence with the release of "Zhu Yu".

On a Mango TV show last year, Du Ruoxi mentioned that she and her husband had discussed having more children multiple times. Yan Kuan, however, is not yet ready for another baby, and she respects his choice.
