The announcement of Tran Tien Dung's participation in the international male beauty pageant took place at a press conference on the afternoon of 30/8 in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). According to the rights holder, contestants for this competition are chosen based on criteria including a handsome face, a toned physique, and a solid academic background.

Born in 1997 in Phu Tho, Tran Tien Dung weighs 79 kg and has measurements of 109-85-103 cm. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Before pursuing a modeling career, he worked as a marketing director for a chain of fitness centers.

In 2025, he competed against 35 contestants in the Manhunt Vietnam finals in Dong Nai, securing the top title and also receiving the "Best Physique" sub-award. Following the competition, he dedicated one year to physical training and performance skills in preparation for the international stage.

Dung stated that communication and English are key skills he is focusing on to project the image of a confident, mature, and modern man. The model is currently collaborating with ao dai artisan Nam Tuyen to prepare traditional attire for the competition.

Manhunt International, first held in 1993, is one of the three major male beauty pageants, alongside Mr World and Mr International. This year, 40 contestants from around the world will compete, with the finals scheduled for 9/9 in Sri Lanka.

Vietnam has previously sent contestants such as models Mai Tuan Anh and Tran Manh Kien. Ngoc Tinh achieved the highest success, being crowned Manhunt International 2017.

Hoang Dung
