Alongside a series of art programs in Hanoi, numerous film screenings are scheduled. From 27/8 to 30/8, the National Cinema Center will present documentaries, feature films, and animated works. Tickets are available free of charge at the venue, with each viewer eligible for up to four.

These films delve into Vietnamese history, culture, heritage, and its people. Notably, the documentary 'The writer of the national anthem,' directed by Dang Linh, stands out. The 115-minute film, produced by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, chronicles the life and career of musician Van Cao, highlighting his contributions to the nation's music and art.

Director Dang Linh chose to forgo narration in the film, instead letting various individuals share their perspectives, interspersed with visuals of musician Van Cao and his compositions, notably the song 'Tien Quan ca.' Singer Anh Tuyet, known for performing many of his romantic pieces, expressed deep admiration for Van Cao's beautiful and refined lyrics as she explored his music further. Theorist Minh Chau asserted that Van Cao is a monumental figure not only in music but also in poetry and painting.

Furthermore, the organizers will screen documentaries including 'Tieng chieng xa' (directed by Phung Ngoc Tu) and 'Truong Luu mot mien di san' (directed by Nguyen Tien Dung), along with the feature film 'Ky uc Nam Xuan' and a selection of animated films: 'Nguoi ban dong hanh,' 'Cay cau cua chung ta,' 'Ao anh,' 'Sac mau cua nui,' and 'Cuoc hoi huong ky dieu.' 'Ky uc Nam Xuan,' directed by Meritorious Artist Ho Ngoc Xum, depicts a portion of the General Offensive and Uprising of Tet Mau Than 1968.

Concurrently, the Hai Phong City Center for Culture, Cinema, and Exhibitions will host screenings at Thong Nhat Cinema from 20h on 28/8 until 1/9. The film selection is similar to the National Cinema Center's program, with the addition of documentaries 'Cuoc chien tren duong pho' and 'Loi xua xe ngua hon thu thao.'

Additionally, mobile film screenings will be held daily at 19h30 throughout August and September. These screenings will take place at communal cultural houses, villages, and community centers across communes, wards, and special zones within Hai Phong city.
