Underwear 'sells out' thanks to Yamal

Fans sought out the underwear model after Spanish forward Yamal wore it at the world cup.

Demand for 6PM boxer briefs surged after the final match, with some styles quickly selling out. The German fashion brand's black design, sold in packs, is priced at 30 euros for two pairs. The brand has not yet released specific sales figures.

During the match on 19/7 in the US, Lamine Yamal's 6PM brand logo waistband was visible as he adjusted his kit or challenged for the ball. The Spanish player, known for his sagging pants style, further exposed the inner waistband. Marca reported this was a natural on-field moment, not a staged sponsorship campaign.

The image of the waistband quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread interest. Achraf Ait Bouzalim, the brand's founder, reposted screenshots from the match on Instagram to celebrate the moment. Founded in Frankfurt in 2016, 6PM has a large following within the hip-hop community and has even produced rap recordings with artists Reezy, Stickle, and Luciano. The brand's business strategy relies heavily on social media, with limited product drops that often sell out quickly. Before the final, 6PM had already garnered attention from the football community through a World Cup prediction contest on its official website.

Beyond revealing his underwear waistband, Yamal sparked debate among fans regarding his sagging pants style. He has worn this style numerous times, from daily life and training sessions to matches. During the World Cup championship celebration in Madrid, he wore his pants sagging below his waist while dancing with teammates. Some opinions suggested the player's attire was inappropriate and disrespectful.

According to Lavanguardia, Yamal's fashion sense embodies a rugged, comfortable street style. He favors loose-fitting clothes in neutral or monochrome colors, occasionally adding statement accessories. For formal events, he opts for suits paired with youthful accessories. His wardrobe features many items from street fashion and contemporary luxury brands such as: Ami Paris, Stüssy, and Louis Vuitton.

Lamine Yamal, 19, is the youngest player to win both the Euro and the World Cup. He also secured the La Liga title with Barca and was named the tournament's best player. He is a top candidate for the 2026 Golden Ball. The forward, who developed at the La Masia academy, is now considered one of the talents to succeed Lionel Messi at Barcelona. According to Transfermarkt, after the 2026 World Cup, Yamal and Haaland share the number one spot on the list of the world's most valuable players, each valued at 251 million USD.
