In the early morning of 5/7, Wang Leehom shared on his personal page that he had been bleeding profusely, prompting staff to administer temporary first aid. Despite the injury, the singer felt no pain in front of the over 40,000 audience members, his sole focus being that "the concert needed to continue."
Following the performance, he immediately sought medical attention at a hospital. Leehom received 27 stitches on his ear and 12 stitches on his face. The singer later wrote, "Thank you for your concern, I am very well. I was truly lucky not to suffer any brain or bone injuries." Despite the accident, Wang Leehom was scheduled to perform his second concert in Chengdu on the evening of 5/7.

Wang Leehom's management company representative attributed the accident to the crew's improper cable arrangement, which entangled the singer's feet. The company affirmed it would enhance inspections and tighten management to ensure the safety of artists, staff, and all audience members.
Wang Leehom, 50, is a prominent singer, songwriter, and actor in the Chinese entertainment industry. He began his career in 1995, releasing 25 albums that sold over 13 million copies. Leehom has also starred in numerous films, such as *Lust, Caution*, *The Avenging Fist*, *Little Big Soldier*, *Love in Disguise*, and *Forever Young*.
In 2014, Leehom married Li Jinglei, who is not involved in the entertainment industry, and they have three children. He later revealed on his personal page that their marriage was unhappy, leading to their separation in 2019 and divorce finalization in 2021. The singer provided his ex-wife with USD 23.5 million in alimony, which included US real estate and stocks. Wang Leehom also covered the expenses for a nanny, driver, private car, and housekeeper for Li Jinglei.
